Kramer's was started by Sam Kramer in 1939 in Downtown Honolulu and is still in business today. Kramer's first Aloha Shirts were made by one of the original factories, Royal Hawaiian Manufacturing Company.
Kramer’s did not make their own shirts, preferring to purchase selected prints from a variety of local Manufacturers in Honolulu. Their label was distinctive with an iconic Hawaiian warrior, arms crossed and held close to his chest, wrapped in a red cape with yellow accents.
Sam Kramer had great taste and choose beautiful prints for his exclusive shirts. He was a gentleman and everyone, his staff, vendors and customers, respected him and were loyal to his retail store for many decades.
