This label is similar to the Cherry Blossom Waikiki label, both using the same colors, flowers, and typeface.
It is our hunch, that this brand was an additional label that the retail shop, Cherry Blossom of Waikiki used
along with their original brand. In those days, wholesalers and retailers often had several labels with separate marketing strategies.
The retailer Cherry Blossom had their shop at 2130 Kalakaua Avenue where they sold Japanese kabe crepe, yukata, Hawaiian prints, cotton and rayon kimonos, shirts, and muumuus in stock or "Made to order". The operation was owned by the Hata family who had opened their retail shop in the early 1950's. They also imported bulk orders of finely printed "Polynesian Prints" from Japan which they wholesaled to the Hawaiian fashion Industry.
