A family retail store, Watumull's had 30 locations in downtown Honolulu and in resort shops around Waikiki through the 1950's. Family member and store buyer Lila Watumull Shaney remembered, "we had all these movie stars that would come into Watumull's in those days. Loretta Young, Jack Benny, Lana Turner, and 'Rochester" Eddie Anderson from the Jack Benny Show."
Watumull's specialized in authentic Hawaiian prints that were exceptionally well-designed with tasteful color combinations.
