Scott of Hawaii was a smaller company that had their shirts printed and sewn in Kyoto, Japan. Japan's ancient capital of Kyoto has a long tradition of art, textiles and kimono. Although many of the early clothing manufacturers had their shirt fabrics printed in Kyoto, only a few companies also had their garments sewn in Japan.
