Sandy MacDonald was a quality mainland sportswear manufacturer from the mid 1940s. Their shirts came with a hang tag bearing a smiling portrait of Sandy MacDonald wearing a Solid Beret with a continuous circle of tartan trim on the lower edge of the hat.
Their sportswear included Hawaiian prints in their collections, but their shirts were not especially Hawaii influenced or inspired.
