Kane Sportswear Center

Kane is the Hawaiian word for "male". Kane Sportswear Center is a lesser known label that was making shirts in the mid 1950's before Hawaii became a state. The T. H. on their label indicates that these were made when the islands were still the Territory of Hawaii. The Hawaiian islands were an incorporated territory of the United States from 1898 until 1959 when Hawaii was admitted to the Union as the fiftieth U.S. state.
