Hale Niu, means "house of coconuts". They were a shirt maker in the late 1940's in Honolulu creating sportswear and well-known bowling shirts. Their label with two coconut trees and arched Hale-Nui was nicely proportioned with the addition of Honolulu in the smaller rectangle woven label.
