
Desmond's of Southern California was a clothing retailer based in Los Angeles. Founded in 1862, they had as many as 19 stores up and down the coast in California before the business was sold in 1981. Their stores were a major apparel retailer, selling men's, women's and boy's specialty clothing. Desmond's private labeled their Aloha Shirts created by various Honolulu clothing manufacturers.
This label reads, "Made in Honolulu for Desmond's Southern California" depicting a great two-man outrigger sailing canoe moving across calm waters. Desmond's also had another woven label with a palm tree and the words, "Leisure Shirt".
