Carousel

Inspired by the original Aloha Shirts from the Hawaiian Islands, many of the mainland shirt companies offered their own interpretations of tropical prints in the 1950's.

They had larger manufacturing plants, greater channels of distribution and used national advertising campaigns to share their products in well-illustrated ads from coast to coast.

Shirts were well romanced with colorful copy and headlines and listed shirt prices around $5 for short sleeve shirts and $6 for long sleeve shirts.

Carousel is a lesser known name and one we are unfamiliar with at this time.
