Andrade had a fine resort shop in the lobby of the Royal Hawaiian Hotel for over 50 years. The Royal also referred to as "The Pink Palace" was built in the middle of Waikiki's slender magical stretch of beach in 1927.
Originally this fine men's haberdashery started in downtown Honolulu and later opened shops in the better hotels in Waikiki. Their shop at the Royal was located in a prime location and could not be missed. They sold fine sport clothes and a wonderful variety of Aloha Shirts. Visiting California surfer's, Dave Rochlen and Joe Quigg, who had arrived on the Lurline after the war, remembered saving to buy their first shirts at the Andrade store in the lobby of the Royal Hawaiian Hotel.
