Paradise Sportswear 002

One of Hawaii’s greatest flowers is the night blooming cereus, a Mexican cactus brought to Hawaii from Acapulco by a sea captain who presented the plant to a missionary schoolteacher. The teacher planted it on the Punahou School campus where it still flourishes today.

This design captures the flowers that open only at night in the foreground and a classic evening Windward landscape lit by a full moon. Interestingly, the landscape image is reversed to bring added interest to the design. This is a one way print with all the images facing right side up, this takes added fabric and costs more, but assures an exceptional esthetic.
