Hawaiian four string ukulele rest in a floral cluster with hibiscus and night blooming cereus. The Ukulele and floral clusters were hand-painted and alternate facing left and right, building a nice rhythm in the design. Several secondary elements, different lei, are scattered in the midnight black ground. This design could have been designed in Hawaii for a large fabric company who sold this pattern to many of the stateside sportswear houses in the 1950s.
