Many attractive women, wearing only a pareau, present lei and an abundance of tropical fruit. This design was a tribute to the fine artist, Frank MacIntosh who originally created these images for Matson Lines. The art was used for menus on their passenger liners which brought visitors each week from the mainland to Hawaii.
Translated, the Hawaiian word Kuu-Ipo means “sweetheart” which is an appropriate label name for this print.
