An accomplished New York Textile designer, Vera Stone Cook came to Hawaii in 1948 for a vacation, and never left.

She was captivated by the possibilities in tropical design and created designs for many of the top manufacturers like Kamehameha and Lauhala.  Vera lived close to Diamond Head and was inspired by the easy going Hawaiian style.
