Found throughout the South Pacific, breadfruit were brought to Hawaii in voyaging sailing canoes by the earliest Polynesian settlers. The fruit is one of the staples of the diet in the South Seas. The grandeur of these large topical leaves and fruit were captured in this unusual one-way shirt.
Only four colors were used when the artist hand-painted the original art for this elegant design. Out of the fire engine red ground pops black and white breadfruit branches and breadfruit leaves with fruit in very subtle blues with white accents.
