The Royal Poinciana (Delonix regia) takes center stage on this short-sleeved aloha shirt by Hawaii Made Sports, a little-known label in Hawai‘i. These flowering trees are native to Madagascar’s dry deciduous forests and endangered in the wild. While the flowers are most often red, the pure yellow ones are found in South Florida, the Caribbean — and on this shirt. The dark green leaves of the tree, which provide a great deal of shade, are strewn across the shirt, too, making this combination exceptionally striking.
