The classic 1950’s scene is sunrise over Diamond Head, clean deep blue water rushing into the beach with a small canoe on an empty beach waiting to go catch wave. Fuji Imports out of California worked with Japanese artists and printers developing Hawaiian themed prints. They sold to manufacturers like Hale Hawaii, Lauhala and Surfriders Sportswear. When shirts in this print were introduced, they sold for $21.00 a dozen.
