Cisco was a sportswear company in New York that made a arrangement in 1950 to make shirts with Hawaii’s legendary swimmer, surfer and ambassador of Aloha, Duke Kahanamoku.
This border print, with perfectly matched horizontal stripes, was influenced by tropical Florida, Aztec images and a bit of Hawaii. Palm trees, sailboats, pineapple and huts mix with more abstract tribal designs.
