A lone outrigger canoe rests on a beach surrounded by a grove of coconut trees. There is a generous amount of open ground allowing one’s eye to see the various elements scattered in a one-way layout.
In another large cluster are lilly pads floating across still water surrounded by a lauhala, a pandanas tree, panini (a Hawaiian cactus) and a blooming silver sword. With long sleeves and two flap chest pockets, this shirt was good for any special occasion such as a Hawaiian wedding. This fabric came from Japan and was sold to various companies in Hawaii. Often the smaller fabric importers shared their fabric and prints with the various manufacturers so they would all have enough of the limited fabric to stay in business.
